long awaited.

This has been a long awaited moment.

This is my friend Arthur. We met four years ago at a program called Especially For Youth (EFY). We've stayed really good friends ever since. Two years ago, he was called to go on an LDS mission to South Korea. After writing him thousands of letters, (just kidding, there were quite a few though) it was finally time for him to come home. He lives about four hours south of me, but I had been planning on going to visit him when he got home.

So I went on a jaunt down to St. George last weekend to see him. I took my best friend and her husband with me.

It was so good to see him and get an Art hug. I've been waiting a long time for an Art hug. As you can see :)

We hung out every day I was there, which was only three, but three days with this kid after a little over two years was awesome.

 Road trippin.

He is a musician. And I've only heard him play his guitar live once. Four years ago. So it was so fun hearing him play! I've watched videos of him playing, but it's not the same. One of my favorite things is watching him play, one, because he's so freaking amazing, and two, because you can just see the pure enjoyment he gets from playing in his face. It's so awesome.

We watched a couple of movies, went on walks and just talked a lot. Caught up and got to know each other even more. It was so much fun! We used to text each other a lot after we met, and I loved talking to me. He's one of the very few people I find easy to talk to. Mostly because I don't really like talking to people. But I found it so easy to find conversation with him. So it was good to talk to him face to face again. He's real! He's not words on a page or text. He's not a picture on a screen. He's real! It made me really happy to spend the whole weekend with him.

Wonderful Wonderful Weekend.
