Roses Are Red

You might be asking why Aubrey and I look so excited.
Well, here's why.

Our friend Megan got asked to PROM today!!!!
So we're in English and this girl comes in and is holding a rose. So our teacher, takes it and the girl says that it is for Megan. So we all look over at Megan. Right when the girl brought it in, I knew it was for Megan, because the boy who asked her wasn't very secretive. So we knew what would happen, but we just didn't know when.
Anyway, my teacher takes the rose and Megan is standing in front of the class now, and Ms. Stanton turns to her and walks over to her. Not regularly mind you. Very slowly. Very Slow.
So we all start laughing and the teacher turns to the class and says, "It will make it more awkward if we are all quiet!" So immediately, we all quiet down. It was so funny. So she hands it to Megan and Megan starts walking to her desk. We all start shouting at her to open the envelope that was attached to it. She tells us that she was just setting the flower down. She walks to the front of the class and starts to open the envelope.

(Zoe and I documented it.)

Ms. Stanton says, "I really really want to read over your shoulder but I won't. But I really want to." Megan says that she doesn't care. So Ms. Stanton practically runs over to Megan and just stands behind her patiently. See below.

Someone says, read it out loud!
"Roses are red, Violets are blue. And I chose you.
Will you go to Prom with me?"
Now you know girls. "Aw!" Exactly. That's what happened.
Anyway, so We ask who it is and she says his name. Then, we chat amongst ourselves and then Ms. Stanton says, "Shh Everyone! Now Megan, what's the answer?"
Megan says "Yes."
The moment she said Yes, Ms. Stanton whirls around and practically runs out the door screaming his name. She is going down the hall yelling his name! We all start laughing. I'm sure I split something inside me. I was laughing so hard. Then she comes back in and says "He's not out there!" She thought he was waiting outside or something.
Anyway this is Megan, her rose with glitter on it, and the card.

So then, Ms. Stanton starts planning out Megan's answer. Some girl said that we should all go into his classroom and tell him yes. So Ms. Stanton immediately goes for that idea, and she goes to the phone and calls the office to see what class he is in. She finds out and tells us then she remembers Megan and told her that we didn't have to do it. Megan of course says that she is all for it. So we make a huge poster that says yes on it, and our whole English class heads to his classroom and waits outside the door while our teacher goes in and tells the substitute the whole story. This substitute is the best so she says "Hey go for it!" So Ms. Stanton calls for his name.....
No answer.
She calls again.
HE WAS ASLEEP ON HIS DESK!!!! BAHA!
So we are all laughing our faces off outside, and then Ms. Stanton told him to go up to the front of the class. She waves us in, meanwhile I am videotaping.
All the girls surround him and the boys go off to the side as inicent bystanders.
I go off to the side also so I can get the whole thing on recording. The sub is right by me and she asks if I'm recording. I say yes and then she pushes me closer. Like, "Get up there so you can get it all!" Then Megan comes in through the circle, holding up the sign. He says okay and my class starts clapping and the sub is whistling and yelling. And his class is just dead. So my teacher and this other girl in my class turn around and tell them to clap also. So then they start clapping.
All in the middle of English. And my teacher didn't care. Love it. Love it.
I think that Aubrey and I were more excited than Megan. We were so happy.
We have decided that we are going to have a PROM with out the boys if we don't get asked. It will be awesome. But if we get asked, that would be awesome too.
Have a good Wednesday!
