Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas!

"Christmas isn't about candy canes, holly or lights all a glow. It's about the hearts that we touch and the care that we show."
- Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas

This year I've realized that I really do know the true meaning of Christmas. As I was making my Christmas List, I really couldn't think of anything to put on it. I mean what I wanted. In the end, I could only think of about 9 things. Usually I have like 20 things on it. I was really looking forward to spending Christmas with my family. I was so excited to see everybody's faces when they opened their presents from me. I had a BLAST with all of my family. We started by opening eachother's gifts to one another and then had a wonderful breakfast of hard-boiled eggs, sausage, and juice. We played games, cars, and our new family favorite, The T-Shirt Game. I highly recommend it. It's just like apples to apples. But not. Anyway, I had a really wonderful Christmas. Oh yeah. Then we ate a delicious dinner of turkey, mashed potatoes, olives, and delectable rolls. Oh and don't forget the sparkling cider. At the end of the day after everyone went home, my mom, dad, Margie and I had a family-movie night and watched UP! I love that movie.

Let's see. What else? Oh! I got a new camera and I'm in love with it! Photo-Shoots! Yahoo! I got lots of candy, a straightener, and some gift cards. But I gave really great presents. Okay funny story time!

So I asked my uncle what he wanted, and he said "I don't know". So I said, "Uncle pat, You can't say 'I don't know' because then I won't get you anything!"
Well just see what the whole conversation was like.

Jenny: "So Uncle Pat, you still haven't told me what you want for Christmas!"
Uncle Pat: "I don't know. Get me anything."
Jenny: "Uncle Pat. You can't say that because then I won't get you anything."
Uncle Pat: "Ok.....Do you know Carrie Underwood?"
Jenny: "Yeah...?"
Uncle Pat: "I want her."
Jenny: "Well...I have kindof lost touch with her over the years.
So that will be kindof hard. How about a signed picture?"
Uncle Pat: "Well okay. But if you can't do that, just go to the dollar store and pick something random."
Jenny: "Okay. You said it...;)"

So I totally printed off a picture of Carrie Underwood, already signed, and on the back I wrote a message to him and signed it Carrie Underwood. It was so awesome! Then I did just what he told me to do. I went to Dollar Tree and got him a football night light.
I got 2 wooden frames, painted them gold and put pictures in them for my sisters-in-law. On Shannon's (Danny's wife) I put a picture of them and on the frame I wrote Family Forever. On Gretchen's (Aric's wife) I put a picture of Emma and picniked it to say "My Little Girl" It was the cutest thing. I wanted it myself. But Emma's not mine. Darn it.
For my Gramma, I got a really kindof old-fashioned frame and put a picture of the 4 generations. GG (Great Gramma [my gramma]), Gramma (my mom), Aric and Emma.
Now for Emma, I got a double frame that opens and put pictures of Emma and Aric, and Emma and Gretchen. On Aric's picture I wrote, Daddy's Girl, and on Gretchen's I wrote Mommy and Me. I love it so much. I wanted that one too.
I made washer necklaces for all of my sisters and bought them each a very yummy smelling smell goods.
It was a really great Christmas. I hope that yours was just as fun and happy as mine. Just remember to keep the true spirit of Christmas around all year. Remember the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ and keep Him in your hearts always. Merry Christmas!
