Jenny on Monday:
"Can we just skip to Friday?"
Jenny today. Friday:
"Holy Cow. It's Friday. Can we skip to 10:30?"
I'm running for Student Council at my school. No idea how much I would hate campaign week. However, I've learned a few lessons.
1. You really should promote your name. The only "Promoting" I've done is facebook. Go me.
2. I found out how much I dislike control and power freaks.
3. I was learning and still am learning the skill of patience. Yes. Patience is a skill.
4. I learned that I need to think about the good things in people instead of saying "I really hope that... a certain person... doesn't win President. I really don't think this person would be a good president. But I shouldn't think that. It's all good I suppose...
So now today, Friday, at the elections dance tonight, at 10:30, I will find out if I made it onto Stu. Co. I am super excited and several of my teachers have asked me every time they see me, "Hey Jenny, so how are elections/student council stuff going?" It makes me feel good.
Voting started on Tuesday and ends today at 5:30. I've had several people (meaning 5-8) say "Hey Jenny. Guess what. I voted for you yesterday/today." "Thanks! That makes me feel good!" Especially when that comes from Brian, whom I haven't talked to in awhile. He's great. Or if it comes from Kam who tells me my hair and face is beautiful every day in English. He's a gem.
We made up a sign name for him (even though it's not technically legal...) Sweetheart Kam. It's fun to sign.
So good luck to me tonight. I do hope I make it. It'll be good.
