Have you ever flown a kite? If you have, you know what it's like. Obviously.
I have decided that kite flying is therapeutic. It relieves stress, and it calms you down.
In Brian's case, it makes you happy.
Two days ago, in English, we flew kites. It wasn't that windy, however if you have one of the $5 ones from walmart, you are perfectly fine. All you need is a breeze and resistance. Mine was the only one that actually stayed up most of the time. My class was jealous. Now I don't mean to boast, but I am professional. I decided that I am going to be a professional kite flyer.
Did anyone go outside yesterday around 4? The wind was absolutely perfect for kite flying.
It was my chance to practice my professional kite flying.
I used all of the string on the plastic thing that kites come with. Then I handed the kite to my mom and ran inside and grabbed 3 rolls of kite string.
I used one whole one, and then I told my mom, "Onto Roll number 3."
I used 3 rolls of kite string yesterday.
The only problem with using 3+ rolls of kite string is the bringing it down.
My hand still hurts from reeling in the string. I'm not kidding, it literally took me almost an hour to pull the kite down. It was really fun. I even caught my next door neighbor staring at me through his window. Creepy I know. But I've known him for a long time so it was ok. Then he started dancing and I said to myself, "Oh Macky boy." Yes I call him Macky. If you know Mack, don't tell him. He already knows. Hehe. It was pretty great.
In addition to my kite flying, I took my friend Harvey for a ride. Literally, I rode him.
Harvey is my trail '70. He's really old. 34. My friends and I call him Put-put because when you are going really fast, he's revving, and then once you slow down, he puts. It's so totally awesome.
So I took him for a 10 minute ride and then he started telling me that he wanted to go home by stalling and sputtering up a hill. Thanks Harvey. So I attempted to ride him up the hill on the side of our house that leads to his house, the shed, and in attempting the impossible, He stopped, while still running, and I lost my balance and fell over. He followed me down. Thank Goodness he didn't crush me. I did scrape my hand on the wood by our garden boxes, but I'm still alive and walking. Don't you worry. Then he decided that gravity works and started sliding down the hill! If you know me, I'm not that strong, or patient so after he died, I struggled to push him up the hill. Oh yeah! You can't push a motorcycle forward unless it's in neutral! He was in 3rd gear. So I'm trying to push the lever down into neutral and holding him up and trying not to die in the process. I finally got it and then he wouldn't cooperate whilst I tried to lift him in the shed. I had to get a running start 3 times. Then I lost it and with all my might, which isn't that much, lifted him in and pushed him back to his spot. I felt like I was grounding him. I felt bad afterward, but he was being stubborn.
Great Great Day. Both of my hands hurt and I'm tired. But It will turn out to be simply wonderful. So excited for English. We're flying kites again.
Advice for the day? GO OUTSIDE! It's supposed to be 75!!!!
Smell the peel of an orange. Draw a picture of your family, and go hunt out a caterpillar.
Jaiho.
