I have this thing with movie scores.
(By the way, if you listen to movie scores, particularly Hans Zimmer, you will get more done. Movie scores don't have words so it's not distracting, yet they're upbeat enough that it keeps your mind going. True fact.)
I work in an office. I'm on a computer all day long and so I listen to movie scores to keep me motivated, and focused. I have a few favorites that I just love. You should already know that I am obsessed with music and that I find such utter peace in music. There's one composer - namely Thomas Newman - who I love currently. He composed the scores for Little Women, Saving Mr. Banks, and Finding Nemo, among others. (P.S. you can tell it's him cause the songs all sound similar.) He has a way with emotion. I am so emotionally attached to a few of his compositions. They just make you feel. I don't really know how to describe it. I think you'd have to watch me listen to it to understand what I'm trying to say.
Here's a few movie scores that I think are absolutely beautiful. Plus a few gems that aren't necessarily scores.
Hymn to the Sea - Titanic
Rose - Titanic
Beth's Secret - Little Women
Valley of the Shadow - Little Women
Proposal - Emma (the Gwyneth Paltrow version.)
Celtic Soul - Saving Mr. Banks
Rescuing Penny - Bolt (This one really gets me. The trumpets.)
Chim Chim Cheree (East Wind) - Saving Mr. Banks. Oh my Colin Farrell's voice.
Safe and Sound (Cover) -William Joseph
Shine - William Joseph
