Lead Kindly Light

During the sacrament, I usually pull out the hymn book and read my favorite hymns. Today, the last hymn that we were going to sing was Lead Kindly Light, pg 97. So I flipped to it, and I realized some stuff.

Lead Kindly Light, amid the encircling gloom
Lead Thou me on
The night is dark and I am far from home
Lead Thou me on
Lead Thou my feet, I do not ask to see
The distant scene, one step enough for me.
This first verse means to me, To give yourself to God. Let Him guide you. The night is dark and I am far from home, If you are in need of comfort, go to Him.
Pretty cool huh?
3rd verse.
So long Thy power hath blessed me, sure it still will lead me on.
O'er moor and fen, O'er crack and torrent till, the night is gone.
And with the morn, those angels faces smile, which I
Have loved long since, and lost awhile.
He has blessed me all my life, and I have faith that He will still lead me on.
No matter where, no matter when, He will still lead me on.
I love the part where it says in the morn, the angels faces smile.
I don't know why but I just love that line!
I just wanted to share this with you.
I sure do hope that you will have a most fabulous week.
Stay Happy.
Stay Smiling.
Compliment as many people as you can this week. Compliment everybody.
And know that He will lead you on.
